The first year at Canada Royal Arts High School has been filled with many projects, activities, and new beginnings. Therefore, we will be having an Career Workshop & Open House on June 15th.
Our Open House will feature two professional speakers in their field. Both have years of experience in University planning and art admissions. Our students at Canada Royal Arts High School place University entrance as their top priority after graduation. In order to aid the students in their University Planning journey, our facility offers expert advice and support regarding the University process. Students learn from experienced mentors who know what it takes to successfully enter Top Universities in Canada and the U.S.
Meet our Speakers!
Our first speaker is Xinjing Deng, a member of Columbia International Education Group (CIEG). Xinjing completed her University degree in Canada. She successfully completed her schooling at UBC in Sauder School of Business. Xinjing’s mentors students as they explore their University options. She is experienced in University placements and is knowledgeable about all the requirements for University admissions. Xinjing will be speaking about important dates, expected documents, and any other requirements needed to successfully apply to Top Universities.
Next, we have Marina McNeil, an Admissions Advisor from Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts). Marina will be speaking about art school admissions, portfolio tips, and art career options after graduation. Since 2011, Marina has worked in post-secondary advising and recruitment. She specializes in advising for high school students. She assists students in attaining their educational goals by providing guidance on requirement information, financial aid, portfolio reviews, and more. Furthermore, Marina teaches resume and job search skills workshops to current VanArts students.
The Open House will be on Friday, June 15th.
Food and Refreshments will be served at 5:30PM in the gym, followed by professional presentations by our speakers from 6:00PM-7:00PM. Guests are welcome to explore the school and see student work throughout the year after the presentations.
